Notice of Meeting to Adjourn the Board of Review to a Later Date - May 14, 2024

The Board of Review will meet on the 14th day of May, 2024, at 6:00 pm at the Town of Plum Lake Recreation/Community Building for the purpose of calling the Board of Review into session during the 45-day period beginning on the 4^th Monday of April, pursuant to Wis. Stat. § 70.47(1).

Due to the fact the assessment roll is not completed at this time, the Board of Review will be adjourned until the 27th day of August, 2024, at 3:00 pm.

Does the Town of Plum Lake issue building permits?

The town of Plum Lake has no zoning restrictions beyond what the county imposes. The only construction type permits issued by the town clerk are a driveway permit and a fire number permit. All other permits are issued through Vilas County Zoning.

As of the 2020 Census, our town population was 555. That number swells in the summer to many thousands. The town encompasses about 100 square miles.

While they may appear as separate towns for post office purposes, Sayner and Star Lake are both part of the town of Plum Lake.
