The weight limits have been lifted from all of our town and also the county roads.
The Brush Dump is now open, but please use caution if you need to get rid of your brush. The loggers are hauling out their harvested timber and the "pathways" are narrower. The town is also hauling out the debris that was burned last fall.

There are no set hours, but generally we are in the office in the afternoon. We can make arrangements to meet when it is convenient for you.
The town of Plum Lake has no zoning restrictions beyond what the county imposes. The only construction type permits issued by the town clerk are a driveway permit and a fire number permit. All other permits are issued through Vilas County Zoning.

As of the 2000 Census, our town population was 486. That number swells in the summer to many thousands. The town encompasses about 100 square miles.
While they may appear as separate towns for post office purposes, Sayner and Star Lake are both part of the town of Plum Lake.
